Brooklyn-based duo Gold Lake have released the second single, ‘Traveller’, from their upcoming second album, Weightless. It’s a dreamy, hypnotic track centred on beautiful piano playing, and supported by well-placed guitars that help take us on a journey from those industrial opening moments, to the almost new-wave chorus. “Its hypnotic pull lures you into a trance, a journey, to become a traveller, like the narrator,” say the duo on ‘Traveller’. “This song tries to express the idea of living life with hope, of moving forward, finding new horizons, original thought (the core concept of the entire album), and being able to share it with someone/humanity.” Keep an eye out for Weightless when it drops later in 2023. -Dan Peeke
